MECHANICAL SUPERVISOR

As a Mechanical Supervisor, part of your role is to:

  • Performs administrative duties for the Section, including the preparation of purchase requisitions of materials, spare parts, and consumable supplies needed by the Section;
  • Confer with and directs Senior Mechanics’ and Mechanics’ activities in their respective areas of responsibility;
  • Ensure the availability of hand tools, power tools, and workshop tools for the Section, and request the purchase of additional items if required;
  • Read and analyze maintenance defect reports and oversee the status of reported breakdowns.

What we are looking for:

  • BS Mechanical Engineering graduate or an equivalent technical course; License is an advantage;
  • Extensive experience of 3-5 years in mechanical process plant equipment, with at least 2 years in experience in the same or an equivalent position in a coal-fired power plant;
  • Has practical understanding of all the applicable codes and legislation related to the operation of power plant machineries;
  • Has experience with computerized maintenance systems and knowledge on plant hazards and safety requirements;
  • Sound appreciation of operations, administration, and other departmental functions;
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
