Fitness Meets Purpose: Shoreline Cleanup Commemorating World Water Day 2025
In celebration of World Water Day 2025, selected employees from BPS and personnel from 1MOCAAC2 actively participated in a community relations (COMREL) initiative—a plogging event held on March 20. The activity combined jogging with environmental clean-up, promoting both physical wellness and environmental responsibility. From 6:00 to 8:00 AM, participants jogged along the Mambayaan and Mandangoa shorelines, collecting litter and marine debris along the way. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of protecting water resources while fostering teamwork and civic engagement. By taking part in this meaningful activity, the volunteers not only helped beautify the local coastline but also reinforced the company’s commitment to sustainability and community partnership in line with the global theme of water conservation.
Beyond its positive environmental impact, the event fostered a strong sense of community by bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds united by a common goal. It inspired a spirit of volunteerism, with participants enthusiastically contributing their time and energy to make a difference. The event served as a powerful reminder that even small actions—when taken collectively—can lead to meaningful and lasting change. It highlighted the potential of grassroots efforts to spark broader social and environmental progress. Here’s to more sustainable, inclusive, and community-driven initiatives in the future!
